Flight: extended. Took off 0310 for Tongatabu to search for Eddie Rickenbacker. Lost an engine; waited days for spare parts.

Flight: patrol. Took off 1310. Patrolled sector between 308 and 332 degrees. Ran out of gas and landed at 0752 near Indispensible Reef, approximately 80 miles from Graciosa Bay (Ndeni), bearing 245 degrees. Rescued after four days by USS Stack.

Crew rescued by USS Stack. Plane sunk by USS Stack gunfire(?) in the vicinity of Indispensible Reef.

Flight: rescue. Flew to Rendova Island via Guadalcanal (picked up P-38 escort) to retrieve Navy pilot from USS Enterprise and Marine pilot from Guadalcanal.
